Fairytale Brownies co-founders Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz began selling their baked-from-scratch Belgian chocolate brownies at street fairs and farmer's markets in the Phoenix area in 1992. They began developing the mail-order aspect of their business after brownie fans requested shipments of brownies to friends and relatives outside the state. The company now mails over 1.3 million business and consumer catalogs per year and sees $6 million in brownie sales annually.
