CHANDLER, AZ, June 27, 2002 -David Kravetz and Eileen Spitalny,
co-founders of Fairytale Brownies®, an Arizona-based mail-order gourmet brownie
company, were awarded the 2002 Ernst & Young Arizona Entrepreneur of the
Year Award in the Retail category. The regional ceremony was held June 27, 2002
at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale.
The prestigious award, now in its 16th year, honors entrepreneurs who have
built sound, successful businesses out of a combination of hard work, innovation
and good business sense. Past recipients of the Arizona Retail award include
Robert Worsley of SkyMall, William Miller of AutoXray, and Michael White of
Alphagraphics, Inc. Fairytale Brownies is now eligible for the national Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, which will be presented at a
ceremony in Palm Springs this November.
Fairytale Brownies has been baking brownies from scratch in small batches
using a 45-year-old secret family recipe since 1992. The gourmet Belgian
chocolate brownies are available in 12 distinct and delectable flavors and can
be shipped worldwide. Gift packaging is available in multiple sizes for a
