Spooky Brownie Pops

Spooky Brownie Pops recipe

Belgian chocolate brownies decorated with royal icing and your favorite finishing touches make for a spook-tacular treat! Perfect for a Halloween party dessert or an edible craft for kids of all ages, these spooky brownie pops will have everyone howling with delight.

Pro tip: Freeze your Fairytale Brownies before decorating.

We used snack-size Fairytale Sprites for these frozen brownie pops. If you prefer a smaller portion, you could use Magic Morsels for perfect bite-size desserts.

Ingredients:

  • 12 snack-size Fairytale Sprites
  • 12 popsicle sticks
  • Royal icing in Halloween colors (buy premade or use your favorite recipe)
  • Decorations of your choice (sprinkles, candy eyes, slivered almonds, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  2. Gently insert one popsicle stick into one short end of each Fairytale Sprite.
  3. Place the brownies on sticks onto the lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  4. Prepare your royal icing.
  5. Working with one brownie at a time, ice the top half of a frozen brownie on a stick with your chosen icing color. A piping bag, small knife, or spoon all work well. If you don't have a piping bag, use a plastic bag with a small hole cut in one bottom corner.
  6. Decorate with your desired finishing touches. Get as creative as you'd like! We used store-bought candy eyes, sprinkles for the purple monster's hair, piped icing for the jack-o'-lantern face and the green monster's mouth and hair, and almond slivers dipped in red icing for the vampire's teeth.
